Abstract

Community myth and the crisis of mediation

Despite the fact that the community is the only place where the individual can live, the dialectical mediation between One and Many is often very complex. Perhaps for this reason human beings have developed a community mythology based on the condition of feeling of nostalgia for a “lost community”. The contribution in-tends to focus attention on the crisis of the community as a crisis of mediation. The community, in fact, is not at all that original en-tity that sanctions the common belonging (affective or traditional) of the individuals, but the instrument for the organization and so-cial control by a system of governance.

El mito comunitario y la crisis de la mediación

A pesar de que la comunidad es el único lugar donde el individuo puede vivir, la mediación dialéctica entre Uno y Muchos es a menudo muy compleja. Quizás por esta razón los seres humanos han desarrollado una mitología comunitaria basada en la condición de un sentimiento de nostalgia de una “comunidad perdida”. La contribución pretende centrar la atención en la crisis de la comunidad como una crisis de mediación. La comunidad, en efecto, no es en absoluto esa entidad original que sanciona la pertenencia común (afectiva o tradicional) de los individuos, sino el instrumento para la organización y el control social por un sistema de gobernanza.
