Rebutting Bernard of Chartres

To understand the evolution of educational interpretations and practices over the last five hundred years, we should separate what has been preserved over time from what has been only temporary. In doing so, we would become aware of what is really important and what instead is necessarily connected with other interests, social, political, economic and, recently, with the market. Nowadays, we are facing not only a contraction of the spaces, but also a limitation of the times of the interpretations of the educational phenomena and of the so-called didactic innovations.

Para comprender la evolución de las interpretaciones y prácticas educativas en los últimos quinientos años, debemos separar lo que se ha conservado con el tiempo de lo que ha sido solo temporal. Al hacerlo, nos daríamos cuenta de lo que es realmente importante y de lo que está necesariamente relacionado con otros intereses, sociales, políticos, económicos y, recientemente, con el mercado. Hoy en día, nos enfrentamos no solo a una contracción de los espacios, sino también a una limitación de los tiempos de las interpretaciones de los fenómenos educativos y de las llamadas innovaciones didácticas.
