Abstract

The 1968 of docimology. A note on the «Scuola e città» observatory

Scholastic evaluation, understood as assessment at school and evaluation of the school, constitutes an object still little studied by educational historiography. Yet it is connected with the idea of value and produces impacts in the social sphere, strongly influencing teaching practices. From this assumption the article ventures to reread historically the salient features of the docimological debate, at that time very young, which appeared in the aftermath of 1968 on one of the most authoritative pedagogical reviews in Italy, «Scuola e città». Of lay and progressive orientation, it was founded in 1950 by Ernesto Codignola and at the time directed by Lamberto Borghi. The article will consider mainly, but not only, the position of Mario Gattullo, scholar of Pedagogy at Bononia University. El 1968 de la docimología. Una nota sobre el observatorio «Scuola e città»

La evaluación escolar, entendida como evaluación en la escuela y evaluación de la escuela, constituye un objeto aún poco estudiado 

por la historiografía educativa. Sin embargo, está conectado con la idea de valor y produce impactos en la esfera social, influyendo fuertemente en las prácticas de enseñanza. A partir de esta suposición, el artículo se aventura a releer históricamente las características más destacadas del debate docimológico, en ese momento muy joven, que apareció a partir de 1968 en una de las revisiones pedagógicas más autorizadas en Italia, «Scuola e città». De orientación laica y progresiva, fue fundada en 1950 por Ernesto Codignola y en ese momento dirigida por Lamberto Borghi. El artículo considerará principalmente, pero no solo, la posición de Mario Gattullo, erudito de Pedagogía en la Universidad de Bononia.
